Linkin Park : Iridescent!!

Hey guys, check out this awesome video of Linkin Park's Iridescent from Transformers : Dark Of The Moon!!. I can only say "TRANSFORMERS + Linkin Park = The Best Combination".

When you were standing in the wake of devastation
when you were waiting on the edge of the unknown
with the cataclysm raining down, insides crying save me now
you were there and possibly alone.

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation
you build up hope, but failure's all you've known
remember all the sadness and frustration
and let it go, let it go.

And in the burst of light that blinded every angel
as if the sky had blown the heavens into stars
you felt the gravity of temper grace falling into empty space
no one there to catch you in their arms

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation
you build up hope, but failure's all you've known
remember all the sadness and frustration
and let it go, let it go.

(Multiple Voices)
Do you feel cold and lost in desperation
you build up hope, but failure's all you've known
remember all the sadness and frustration
and let it go,

let it go
let it go
let it go
let it go

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation
you build up hope, but failure's all you've known
remember all the sadness and frustration
and let it go, let it go.

"The First Times" in Life!!

Hey Friends, after many posts on Multiverse, Parallel Worlds, and Paradoxes here is a post that is all about me. So relax and don't scare because there will be no science stuff in this post!! LOL.

Let me begin with my first day in this beautiful world. Well, I personally don't remember anything about this day. But, yeah I have heard a lot about it from my parents and my grandmother. It was Saturday, 17th of April, 1993. I was born in a Nursing Hospital in Delhi. My mother says she was so elated when she first saw me. She also added that I had very long fingernails when I was born. HUH!! So, that was the very first time I got a chance to see this awesome world.

Next, My first day in a school. Now, I remember some images of this instant. It was a small school, actually a playschool near my house in Ranchi. I was 3 years old. Before this incident, I had never been away from my parents for more than 10 minutes or so. But, this was a school and I was supposed to stay there without my parents for more than an hour or two. So, that was scary. It all started nicely, my father asked me to come with him so I could ride on his scooter with him. That sounded kind of fun. I agreed. As soon as my father asked me to go to that school alone, I started to cry with all my strength I had then. Soon, the headmistress of that school came out. I was terrified even more after seeing her. I cried a lot that day. But, slowly I learnt that I have to be away from my parents for sometime.

What's Next??...um..Yep, My First Day in Kairali School. I was 4. Till now I think, the best moments in my life were all forged in KAIRALI SCHOOL. I was admitted in Kindergarten and now I think that was one of the best things ever happened to me. I remember that day, I saw lots of students dressed in a uniform, and I had no idea then about why everyone is wearing the same dress as I had worn; navy blue pants, sky blue shirt, and a striped tie with a badge on it. It was funny. Next thing, I was sitting in my assigned classroom on the very first bench and I saw a lot of my classmates crying the same way as I had cried last year at my playschool. They didn't want to be away from their parents, I guessed. That was a nice day, I made a lot of friends and I was so happy to be with them.

Now, The First Time when I was on the main stage of my school, I was in class 6 and 10 years old. It was a very proud moment for me. But, I was also tensed. Our School had a routine in which every week a new house took the incharge for the stage activities. Out of the four houses (RED, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW), I was in RED and it was our chance to present some articles, news etc. Now, the representatives of Red house wanted the junior section to present some articles. Between this time I had been known in my class for my poems in Hindi and my poems had also been published in the local newspaper, so they asked me to present some good article in English or in Hindi. I accepted to this as going to the stage was in itself a very good deed. But, on the other hand I had to speak on the microphone with all the students and teachers of the school staring at me. There was no chance of making a mistake. I was scared. But, with all my confidence, I went to the stage and took out my paper in which I had prepared an Article compiled from a well known magazine, WISDOM and started to read it. I tried not look at the crowd and stare only at the paper in my hand. I did it. For those few minutes I addressed the crowd, I was really happy!!

So, these were some of the "First Times" in my life. These memories are so pleasant that they always bring a smile to my face. There's always a First Time for all things in life, some are good while some are bad!! Remember the good ones and be happy!! :-)

TIME PARADOXES.

I was just going through Michio Kaku's Parallel Worlds and I found a very interesting article about Time Paradoxes which I thought to share with you guys!!

Earlier, physicists dismissed the idea of time travel because of time paradoxes. A paradox is a seemingly true statement or group of statements that lead to a contradiction or a situation which seems to defy logic or intuition. For Example, if you go back in time and kill your parents before you are born, then your birth is impossible. Hence you could never go back in time to kill your parents to begin with. This is important, because science is based on logically consistent ideas; a genuine time paradox would be enough to completely rule out time travel.

These Time Paradoxes can be grouped into several categories :

Parallel Worlds: A Journey Through Creation, Higher Dimensions, and the Future of the CosmosGrandfather Paradox : In this paradox, you alter the past in a way that makes the present impossible. For Example, by going back into distant past to meet the dinosaurs, you accidentally step on a small, furry mammal that is the original ancestor of humanity. By destroying your ancestor, you cannot logically exist.

Information Paradox  : In this paradox, information comes from the future, which means that it may have no origin. For Example, let's say a scientist creates a time machine and then goes back in time to give the secret of time travel to himself as a youth. The secret of time travel would have no origin , since the time machine the youthful scientist possesses was not created by him but was handed to him by his older self.

Bilker's Paradox : In this kind of paradox, a person knows what the future will be and does something that makes the future impossible. For Example, you make a time machine to take you to the future, and you see that you are destined to marry a woman named Jane. However, on a lark, you decide to marry someone else instead, thereby making your own future impossible.

The Sexual Paradox : In this kind of paradox, you father yourself, which is a biological impossibility. In a tale written by the British philosopher Jonathan Harrison, the hero of the story not only fathers himself, but he also cannibalizes himself. In Robert Heinlein's classic tale "All You Zombies", the hero is simultaneously his mother, father, daughter, and son -- that is, a family tree unto himself. Unraveling the sexual paradox is actually rather delicate, requiring knowledge of both time travel and the mechanics of DNA.

The Terminator movies hinge on an information paradox -- a microchip recovered from a robot from the future is studies by scientists, who then create a race of robots that become conscious and take over the world. In other words, the design for these super robots was never created by an inventor; it simply came from a piece of debris left over from one of the robots of the future. In the movie Back to the Future, Micheal J. Fox struggles to avoid a grandfather paradox when he goes back in time and meets his mother as a teenager, who promptly falls in love with him. But if she spurns the advances of Fox's future father, then his very existence is threatened.

Scriptwriters willingly violate the laws of physics in making Hollywood Blockbusters. But in the physics community, such paradoxes are taken very seriously. Any solution to these paradoxes must be compatible with relativity and the quantum theory. For Example, to be compatible with relativity, the river of time simply cannot end. You cannot dam the river of time. Time, in general relativity, is represented by a smooth, continuous surface and cannot be torn or ripped. It may change topology, but it cannot simply stop. This means that if you kill your parents before you are born, you cannot simply disappear. This would violate the laws of Physics.

We still don't know the exact solutions of these time paradoxes. Physicists have forced to entertain two outrageous solutions : either there is a cosmic consciousness that watches over us all, or else there are an infinite number of quantum universes.
That's all!!
